Browser-based invoice generation can reduce unnecessary disclosure of client names, rates, tax details, and project information. A local workflow is suitable when the required output is a professional invoice or quote in PDF format.
Required document elements
- Business identity, contact information, and logo
- Client identity and billing information
- Clear line-item descriptions, quantities, rates, and totals
- Invoice number, issue date, payment due date, and currency
- Applicable tax and registration information
Procedure
- Open the Invoice & Quote Generator.
- Select the document type, template, and currency.
- Add a PNG or JPG logo suitable for document export.
- Enter specific line-item descriptions that can be matched to the applicable agreement or milestone.
- Apply tax only after confirming the applicable registration status and rate.
- Review all totals, dates, payment instructions, and business identifiers.
- Export the PDF and retain a copy with the applicable business records.
Review controls
- Line items — use specific descriptions instead of general labels such as “Services”.
- Payment terms — state the due date or agreed payment period.
- Currency — confirm CAD, USD, or another applicable currency before issue.
- Tax information — include required registration details when tax is charged.
Service limitations
Accounting software may be required for automatic payment collection, recurring billing, inventory, bank reconciliation, or formal bookkeeping integrations. FreeUtilityHub provides document-generation functions and does not replace an accounting ledger.
Privacy
Invoice fields are processed in the browser under the Local only classification. Exported files remain on the device unless transferred to another service.
