Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of thbproject.ca, FreeUtilityHub, and the tools, content, and products available through them (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by THB Project(the "Operator").

Accessing or using the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms by the person or entity using the Service (the "User"). A User that does not accept these Terms must not access or use the Service.

1. Service description

The Service provides browser-based document, image, calculation, and developer utilities, related guides, and optional paid digital products. Most tool functions operate in the browser. The processing method applicable to each tool is identified by its privacy label and further described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Acceptable use

Users must not:

• use the Service for an unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure;
• attempt to bypass access controls, security measures, licence restrictions, or usage limitations;
• use automated systems in a manner that materially degrades the Service or impairs access for others;
• introduce malicious code or harmful content; or
• misrepresent identity or authority in communications with the Operator.

3. User data and responsibility

Users retain responsibility for files, text, images, financial information, signatures, and other content entered into or produced by the Service. Users must have the legal right to process that content and must review all generated outputs before relying on or distributing them.

Data stored only in browser storage may be lost if site data is cleared, the browser is reset, or a different device is used. Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of material records and exports.

4. Informational tools and professional advice

Calculators, templates, guides, and generated outputs are provided for general informational and administrative purposes. They do not constitute financial, tax, accounting, legal, medical, investment, or other professional advice. Material decisions and formal submissions require independent verification with an appropriate professional or authoritative source.

5. Security and signature tools

Password generation and strength indicators do not guarantee account security. Signature tools create visual signature marks and do not provide identity verification, digital certificates, audit trails, or a certified electronic-signature process. Suitability for a particular transaction must be determined independently.

6. Intellectual property and permitted use

The Service's design, branding, software, and original written content are owned by or licensed to the Operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, tool outputs may be used for personal or internal business purposes.

Substantial reproduction of the Service, redistribution of paid materials, removal of proprietary notices, or use of Service content to operate a competing product is prohibited without written authorization.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including hosting, payment, email, public-data, model-delivery, and browser-service providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The Operator does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

8. Paid products and licences

Optional paid products may include the Freelancer Starter Pack and Invoice Pro. The following conditions apply unless different terms are stated at checkout:

• Pricing — prices are stated in Canadian dollars and may change for future purchases.
• Payment processing — payments are processed through Stripe. The Operator does not receive or store full payment card numbers.
• Delivery — digital files are made available after successful payment and entitlement verification. Invoice Pro features are activated in the browser.
• Licence — a purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal or internal business use. Resale, redistribution, public rehosting, and sublicensing are prohibited.
• Device access — licence information is stored locally in the browser. Clearing site data may require purchase restoration through the support process.
• Refunds — except where required by law or stated otherwise at checkout, delivered digital products are final sale. Delivery failures must be reported within 14 days of purchase. Statutory consumer rights are not excluded.
• Taxes — applicable taxes, if any, are identified during checkout.

9. Availability and suspension

The Operator may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service for maintenance, security, legal compliance, product changes, or violations of these Terms. Continuous or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, a User agrees to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from the User's unlawful use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another party's rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

The Operator may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or legal requirements. Revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights applicable in a User's jurisdiction remain unaffected.
